Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks double size of Norway and Fjords Programme for 2025

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have announced a significantly expanded programme of flights and city breaks to Norway and its famous Fjords for 2025, including the addition of departures to the stunning region from three new UK bases. 

The exciting programme of flights and city breaks to Bergen has gone on sale today, with capacity more than doubling in response to demand from customers and independent travel agents.  

This expanded Norway programme means that Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks are on sale to Bergen from seven UK airports in 2025. Brand-new routes have gone on sale from Bristol, Edinburgh and London Stansted Airports, alongside expanded programmes from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle (the full programme is detailed below).  

The news comes after the companies’ 2024 programme of flights and city breaks to Norway commenced last month (25th April 2024), marking the first time in over 15 years that Jet2 has operated to Bergen

As well as offering more choice for 2025, the leading leisure airline and operator of city breaks has also brought forward its Bergen programme to earlier in the year, 10th April 2025, well ahead of the popular Easter holiday season. With 31 departures to Bergen on sale in total for 2025, this means that seat capacity has more than doubled. 

As well as giving customers access to stunning Fjords such as Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, the city of Bergen itself boasts a backdrop of spectacular mountains which are wrapped around a picturesque harbour lined with a variety of fashionable restaurants and bars. This historic harbour district, Bryggen, is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List and provides visitors with one of the world's most significant examples of the history and culture of a particular medieval settlement. 

The Bergen programme is expanding in response to demand from customers and independent travel agents who are booking discovery-based experience holidays. Jet2holidays‘Discover More’ product range caters for this audience, which includes non-family bookings, couples and solo travellers, and includes destinations such as Iceland, Treasures of Turkey, Porto and the Douro Valley and Croatian cruises in addition to a number of famous city break and Christmas market destinations. 

Discover More packages to Bergen include flights with Jet2.com, including 22kg hold luggage, as well as 3, 4 and 4+-star accommodation and ATOL protection all for a low £60 per person deposit. Packages also include a full-day tour that features a boat trip along the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord from Flam to Gudvangem, as well as a spectacular mountain railway journey to Myrdal.

The full 2025 programme to Bergen is as follows:

  • 11 x departures in total (up from seven in 2024) giving customers fantastic choice thanks to twice weekly departures (Mondays and Fridays) operating between 11th April and 16th May 2025. 
  • Birmingham  
  • 4 x breaks in total (up from two in 2024). 
  • 2 x three-night long-weekend breaks, departing on Friday 18th April and 25th April 2025. 
  • 2 x four-night midweek breaks departing on Monday 21st and 28th April 2025. 
  • Leeds Bradford 
  • 4 x breaks in total (up from three in 2024) 
  • 2 x three-night midweek breaks departing on Monday 5th May and 12th May 2025.  
  • 2 x four-night long weekend breaks departing on Thursday 8th May and 15th May 2025. 
  • Newcastle International 
  • 4 x breaks in total (up from two in 2024). 
  • 2 x four-night long weekend breaks departing on Thursday 10th April and 17th April 2025.  
  • 2 x three-night midweek breaks departing on Monday 14th April and 21st April 2025.   
  • Bristol  
  • New route - 1 x three-night long weekend break departing on Friday 2nd May 2025. 
  • Edinburgh 
  • New route – 4 x breaks in total 
  • 2 x four-night midweek breaks departing on Monday 5th and 12th May 2025. 
  • 2 x three-night long-weekend breaks, departing on Friday 9th and 16th May 2025.  
  • London Stansted 
  • New route – 3 x breaks in total 
  • 2 x four-night long-weekend breaks, departing on Thursday 24th April and 1st May 2025. 
  • 1 x three-night midweek break departing on Monday 28th April 2025.
